BEN SHERMAN SS21 SIGNATURE COLLECTION - THE GETAWAY
The historic ‘Live at Spike Island’ gig in the 1990s was a defining moment written into the history books of the "Madchester" era. It was a culmination of clans from different walks of life who came together under the banner of music. The legendary coastal Merseyside concert offered a temporary escape and a getaway from everyday suburban life. The event proved to be a pivotal show, etching an indelible impression on British counterculture, inspiring and influencing musicians all over the world to do things their way.
The SS21 contemporary menswear edit takes inspiration from coastal nautical textures, featuring indigo inspired tones, with minimal nautical proportions and details. Textured yarns and coastalinspired stripes mix with modern paisleys and abstract nautical geometrical prints.
The SS21 palette focuses on wide-ranging neutral tones with summery pops: earth tones and chalky hues such as olive and summer-mustard pair-up well for fresh and modern seasonal looks. In high-summer, looks feature vibrant hues, including tangerine, sun-soaked brights, and military-olive outerwear. Subdued tie-dyes feature alongside shades reminiscent of traditional British coastal colours.
No #bensherman collection is complete without a nod to the brand's Ivy League heritage, which this season reinterprets madras check in unique styles, fabrications, and irregular yarns. Clean lines, stripe details, and simple colour-blocking evolve the Heritage Sports offering. Loose shirt fabrics and playful terry trims update these seasonal favourites for effortless style and timeless looks. This season's ARCHIVE collection reinvents classics with a modern twist by fusing unexpected combinations of original Archive designs. The juxtaposition of fabrications and prints create a unique blend of mixed fabric innovation across indigo, candy stripes, and iconic checks to
become a hybrid interpretation of the capsule shirt collection.
B BY #bensherman SS21 COLLECTION
The second season of B by #bensherman is unabashedly bold and bright. The use of organic and sustainable fabrications continues this season, and the collection highlights are loose blouson silhouettes, sportswear in lightweight heritage seersucker, and woven polos. Also new for spring are men's swim shorts.
Contrasting orange and yellows are blocked with black to create new combinations. Aimed at Gen Z-ers, the palette is fun, intense, and sporty, a perfect mix to appeal to the younger consumer.
