London, December 2, 2019 – #swarovski returns to The #fashion Awards and champions Conscious Luxury on the #fashion industry’s most famous red carpet. #swarovski believes that creativity and sustainability go hand in hand, and that #design can be a driving force for sustainable development and cultural change.
Atelier #swarovski x Stella McCartney
Atelier #swarovski partnered with #stellamccartney to dress supermodel muses Amber Valletta, Joan Smalls and Karen Elson in sustainably created custom looks styled with Atelier #swarovski Fine Jewelry made with #swarovski Created Diamonds and recycled gold. #swarovski Created Diamonds are 100% diamond and offer consumers a conscious choice. Grown under laboratory conditions that echo the natural growth of a diamond, they have the same optical, chemical and physical attributes as mined stones, yet they cause less environmental impact. #swarovski Created Diamonds are identical to mined diamonds in the same way a greenhouse-grown orchid is identical to its wild counterpart.
Swarovski collaborated with emerging Conscious Designers including Patrick McDowell, Caroline Smithson from Ssone and Tiziano Guardini to create responsibly sourced looks embellished with #swarovski upcycled crystals. #swarovski defines upcycled crystal as unused and unsold, imperfect and/or retired crystals. #swarovski is committed to working with emerging talents who are dedicated to building businesses that are driven by purpose, responsibility and a commitment to making a positive impact.
Swarovski crystal trophy by Ross Lovegrove
Winners on the evening were presented with handcrafted #swarovski crystal trophies designed by product designer Ross Lovegrove. Lovegrove was inspired by the very core of creativity, expressed through a laseretched DNA structure within the crystal. Previous #swarovski crystal trophy designers include Marc Newson CBE (2016), John Pawson CBE (2017) and Sir David Adjaye OBE (2018).
