Paris women fashion week FW19-20 - Chapal creates a leather jacket for Leonard Paris

For the very first time, the orchid flower brand presents a piece of leather clothing and chooses #chapal to create its first jacket. Particularity: the patinated and luminous #chapal leather with a superb lining signed #leonard.
A WORK ON DUALITY
Curious, creative and elegant, it is towards India and through the air that the #leonard woman invites us, once again, to escape. In the wardrobe designed by Christine Phung, there is a certain relaxation, sharp and refined, in a shimmering apparel reminiscent of precious stones. The silhouettes play both on kimonos and the streamlined curves of airplanes while overlays play on balance: match and mismatch, but always with light-heartedness. A game of opposites takes place, both between styles and materials. The unique piece between #chapal and #leonard combines a classic USAAF "Flying Jacket" model, which opens on a vibrant, sour candy colored lining. Orange, turquoise and violet associate with the amber leather in a merry-go-round of colors and materials.
CREATIVE COLLABORATION
The association of #chapal and #leonard flows naturally: both Maisons have a rich history, anchored in a precious and rare know-how, which is celebrated under the label Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant.
Innovation and craftsmanship are key words for creators Jean-François Bardinon and Christine Phung. #leonard, whose style is recognizable among all others, uses expert silk printing and weaving techniques. The #chapal craftsmen, for their part, are masters of leather work, which comes in deep colors, and elegant and timeless cuts.
Details: Glossy sheep leather (origin Aveyron, France), beige wool and lycra knitted rib, sheep fur collar, #chapal cotton gabardine with #leonard silk screen printed lining.
