Prada opens in Las Vegas
Prada opens a new store inside the prestigious Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.
The space, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, covers a total area of approximately 650 square metres on a single level and houses the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and footwear collections.
The elegant internal façade, of remarkable visual impact, is characterised by a backlit white canvas curtain enclosed in a crystal box. Slim strips of black marble frame the entrances and windows, lending a precious flair to the space.
The entrance to the area dedicated to women, which is defined by the signature black- and-white marble chequered flooring – a legacy of Prada’s identity worldwide –, opens on a large octagonal space housing the leather goods and accessories collections. Green fabric-clad walls serve as a backdrop for sleek polished steel display cases embellished with black Marquinia marble drawers.
From here, the visitor is led to two spaces defined by green fabric-clad walls with cut-in alcoves dedicated to the display of exquisite leather goods, accessories and bijoux, a unique reinterpretation of Prada’s iconic display niches.
The areas devoted to the women’s ready-to-wear and footwear collections feature green fabric-clad walls, fine transparent perspex display units and polished steel and saffiano leather niches. Beige carpeting, fine crystal tables and green velvet sofas welcome customers in an elegant and refined atmosphere.
A mirror portal leads to the area where the men’s collections are displayed, which comprises a succession of spaces. Here, polished steel and crystal units, green fabric-clad walls and mirrors create a unique interplay of reflections and patterns, enhanced by the marble flooring’s chequered motif. Polished steel display counters with coloured saffiano leather elements and green ostrich leather sofas complete the furnishing.
