We love the color green

As human beings we have the responsibility to take care of our planet and of our own species. #earthday is a day of celebration of what this beautiful blue and #green sphere donates to us daily and what we can do to be the best version of ourselves. #parajumpers thrives to improve year after year, researching innovative materials and believing in quality over quantity.

Sustainability has always been an important concept for the brand, and for this reason, many are the things that #parajumpers does to leave the smallest footprint on the planet: only two collections a year, made-to-order; designs that withstand the passing of time and trends; garments made with the most resistant materials, accompanying you for many years to come.

Parajumpers has never been more sustainable: the SS22 collection features many innovative fabrics from an environmental point of view, such as the extraordinary biodegradable nylon ripstop, which the Easywear series is made of. This biodegradable ripstop is the first polyamide yarn, developed and produced by Solvay, with a formulation of additives that confer the property of enhanced biodegradability. Once the garment is discarded and reaches the landfill, these additives facilitate the access of bacteria to the structure of the fibre by “swelling” it when exposed to high humidity. The decomposition process, which requires an anaerobic environment, will lead to the biodegrading of the garment in around five years. The fabric then turns into organic matter (biomass) and
biogas, which become new resources for the environment.

Specifically for #earthday 2022, #parajumpers collaborates with the nature lover #joliejanine. She spends her time travelling around the world, surfing, and exploring the planet, enjoying as much as she can any natural environment. Her work focuses on the beauty of nature and only with brands she truly believes in. She wears the Hannah style, from the Easywear series. Perfect both as a jacket or a more outdoor shirt, it is the first of many more sustainable pieces in Parajumpers’ collection.
