For this year’s Salone del Mobile, eight designers interpret the editorial offices of Vogue Italia, which mark the occasion by opening to the public

For the 58th edition of the #salonedelmobile and the second consecutive year, Vogue Italia presents “Life in Vogue”, an opportunity for comparison and exchange between the worlds of #fashion and #design.

Eight internationally-acclaimed creatives were invited by #vogueitalia editor-in-chief Emanuele Farneti to present their personal interpretations of the magazine’s editorial offices and their furnishings. david/nicolas, Massimiliano Locatelli, Pierre Marie, Ana Kraš, Rafael de Cárdenas / Architecture at Large, Jonathan Anderson, storagemilano and Studio Proba worked on the project to come up with an imaginative vision of a place in which the connection between #fashion and #design is shaped as an expression of the personalities that inhabit it.

“Life in Vogue is a very special project because it has a dual value. First and foremost it allows our magazine - to mark the publication of the new Casa Vogue, and coinciding with the great city-wide festival that is #design Week - to build extraordinary collaborations with some of the most important creative voices in #design, architecture and interiors, and also with leading firms in the sector. Secondly, for us the #event is an opportunity to open our doors to the wider public: a message of inclusivity which firmly underlines the most recent editorial developments at Vogue Italia”, says #vogueitalia editor-in-chief Emanuele Farneti.

The #event will feature an editorial Wardrobe: the very heart of the magazine, the place where the magic happens and all the season’s clothes and accessories come together to become the protagonists of the photos in the magazine’s pages. This year a 360-degree wardrobe department has been imagined, to show the moment when the cover model arrives to get ready and try out the looks that create the atmosphere of the cover story: shoes are arranged by color, references hang on the wall and garments are ready to be worn.

From 9 to 12 April and from 10:00 to 20:00 (from 12:00 to 20:00 on 9 April), #vogueitalia will open the doors of Piazzale Cadorna 5-7 to the public, giving visitors the opportunity to view the #design projects and meet the editorial team.
