Athison: “made in Italy” sustainability


Made in Italy, environmental sustainability and tradition: these are the core values of #athison, the Piedmontese premium quality leather-goods brand, which will present its new collection at the next SS #mipel edition. Inside the over 90000 sq ft compound in Villadossola nothing is left to chance, the control of the entire production chain allows #athison to aim perfection through the enhancement of each tiny detail.

A refined collection of craftmanship masterpieces dedicated to both women and men: clutches, pochettes, shopping, tote and shoulder bags, and yet leather briefcases, travel and gym bags. Not to forget the handmade purses and wallets, and the well known #fashion accessories such as belts, bracelets and key- rings. #athison has a surprise for man’s best friends too. The brand has indeed designed an entire line of products, mostly collars and leashes, dedicated to our beloved pets.

CAPSULE COLLECTION FEAT. BAV TAILOR

For the 115th anniversary of #mipel, #athison will present an exclusive capsule collection as a result of the collaboration with the famous designer Bav Tailor, a forerunner in the sustainable #fashion. A unique handbag made of wool, waxed cotton and vegetable tanned leather. A piece of extraordinary beauty, and profound meaning, which will be complemented with elegant accessories: belts, bracelets, pochettes and key-rings. The capsule collection will be displayed at the ground floor of the Coin mall in Milan.

“NEW LIFE” BRAIDINGS

World is changing, and so is fashion!

It’s called New Life and it goes hand in hand with the key words behind Athison’s new collection: environmental sustainability. It’s an innovative product with a simple name but a very sophisticated core. This unique yarn is made out of recycled plastic from Piedmonte, and it is also the main ingredient of the four color combinations elastic belt designed by the Italian brand, which will be presented at the next SS #mipel edition.

WAITING FOR “INTRECCINCANTIERE”

Manifattura di Domodossola, Athison’s parent company, is keeping on tenterhooks the hundreds of young designers that competed in this fifth edition of Intreccincantiere. The #fashion contest, ran in collaboration with Lineapelle, sees students from all over the Globe, fighting against each other using creativity and the company’s braided materials as their only weapons. The eco-friendly cork coat designed by Sho Konishi, student of the College of #fashion & Beautician Mode Gajuen of Tokyo, and winner of the first edition of the contest will be displayed at Athison’s booth at #mipel.
