Introducing the Jordan fly ‘89

Released in 1989, the #airjordan IV represented everything that a young Michael Jordan needed: A stripped-down full-race basketball shoe complete with a lightweight nubuck upper and ventilation via instantly recognizable mesh-filled cutouts.
Now, 28 years later, parts of the original IV’s DNA inform the Jordan Fly ’89. The new lightweight silhouette merges iconic design elements of the IV — its wing lacing details and heel tab — with a Lunarlon sole. The result is a contemporary combination of style, comfort and history that pays homage to the IV’s legacy.
The Jordan Fly ’89 releases May 26 on Jordan.com and at select retail stores.
