Parajumpers at Pittimmagine 2017

Parajumpers’ latest collection reflects once again the fusion of Massimo Rossetti's expertise in active luxury outerwear with his Italian design sensibility. Conceived in Parajumpers’ very own Veneto-based atelier, which has a rich tradition of sourcing quality materials and developing luxury craftsmanship, the Fall/Winter 2017 collection brings Parajumpers’ athleisure flavored men's and women’s outerwear to the next level. To emphasize his collaborative design philosophy, Massimo Rossetti, the brand's Creative Director, teamed up with well-known Japanese artist Yoshinori Ono and the young Hungarian designer Agnes Kemeny, in order to create five functional yet stylish capsule collections for men and women which complete Parajumpers’ timeless best-sellers. In line with the former capsules, the new men and women’s outerwear series continue to pay homage to the company's heritage of expertise with exceptional wardrobe staples that transcend time. This time around, highlights from the Fall/Winter 2017 collection include Yoshinori Ono’s latest men’s and women’s wear outing for Kegen and Kegen Down. All of the Kegen styles feature Ono's sophisticated signature tech touch and highly functional elements, such as down-filled, full-sleeve detachable inner body warmers and waterproof 3 layer laminated poplins. The Kegen Down series stands out as it has been crafted from light stretch laminated poplin which makes the garments particularly warm and waterproof - a perfect way to face bad weather days, while wearing featherweight stylish outerwear. The young and talented designer Agnes Kemeny, for her part, takes core items from the classic PJS parkas and lightweight styles, which she has deconstructed and remodeled in order to create inimitable vintage pieces that will suit the #parajumpers woman. These new additions take #parajumpers feminine identity to the next level and are three outstanding women’s wear capsules that stand out for their sharp fit, comfortable hand feel and fashionable silhouettes. Agnes has developed Cotton Remastered, a new series of long parkas that pay homage to Parajumpers’ Airforce inspired DNA. The fur-trimmed outerwear pieces are therefore crafted with a confortable silhouettes from a vintage-looking, washed cotton shell that features military-inspired pockets, tapes and zippers. In addition, Kemeny offers both a feminine and fun take on the lightweight series with Shape Guard, a brand-new form-fitting outerwear family that comes with a matte finish down proof polyester taffeta and strong colour contrast. Taking feminine functionality a tad further, Kemeny also developed Wool & Down, one more family of figure-hugging, fur-trimmed lightweight down filled jackets for her which are crafted from water resistant Italian Oxford wool and which feature a subtly cinched waist that flatters the figure with minimal effort. Massimo Rossetti, for his part, complemented Kemeny’s vision with a male counterpart version, offering lightweight down filled styles that are functional yet elegant. Finally, the North West series for men and women will make a lasting impression with its sophisticated looks. Made of real sheepskin with soft shearling details and combined with the most resistant luxe fabrics, this seasonal offering is a new take on Parajumpers’ successful Special Edition series and recalls the most traditional pieces from the US outdoor and mountaineering culture. Pushing boundaries as always, #parajumpers has once again challenged the traditional codes of outerwear luxury with premium apparel designed to last for men and women who will only settle for the best style and quality.
