Nikelab Gyakusou: rio in reverse

For nearly six years #nikelab Gyakusou, Nike’s collaboration with Undercover founder Jun Takahashi, has used running as a lens to experiment with the expected performance-style balance. The latest collection in the ongoing partnership shifts away from its characteristic muted color palette into an array of bright primary colors (punctuated by neons) that capture the vibrancy of Rio de Janeiro.

Select silhouettes in the range — including the #nikelab Gyakusou Dri-FIT Distance Singlet and #nikelab Gyakusou Dri-FIT Distance Short — are inspired by the garments elite distance runners compete in.

Inspired by traditional racing tops, the #nikelab Gyakusou Dri-FIT Distance Singlet employs Dri-FIT material to help keep athletes cool and dry. The accompanying #nikelab Gyakusou Dri-FIT Distance Short features a lightweight and breathable #nike FlyVent waistband, as well as a quick-pack pocket on the back panel for easy storage of jackets or long-sleeve tops.

The Fall 2016 #nikelab Gyakusou collection will be available exclusively on August 4 at the #nikelab Rio space on the third floor of the #nike Ipanema store. It will be available globally August 18 at #nike.com/nikelab and #nikelab stores.
