Let your feet fly

On an average week, #mofarah, 5,000- and 10,000-meter Olympic and World Championship gold medalist, logs around 125 training miles, lauding mileage as a key component of his success. And like 30 years of competitive and everyday runners before him, Farah relies upon the versatile #nike #airzoom Pegasus to provide a secure, light and fast ride. This performance legacy drives #nike designers as they continuously evolve the shoe’s signature features using the company’s ever-evolving technologies.

The most recent iteration of the icon is the #nike #airzoom #pegasus33, which debuts new #nike Zoom Air pockets in the forefoot of the shoe’s midsole. Paired with existing Zoom Air units in the heel, it offers superior responsiveness and an even snappier ride over greater distances.

“This design was about fine-tuning the details of what makes this shoe great,” explains Bret Schoolmeester, Senior Director of #nike #running Footwear. “We knew the Pegasus already provided a smooth ride and a perfect fit, but we wanted to make it even more responsive. We obsessed over it.”

The shoe's Cushlon foam midsole Zoom Air pockets are paired with a rubber outsole, while flexible, impact-absorbing waffle pistons preserve freedom of motion and a segmented crash rail promotes traction and cushioning.

Meanwhile, its upper construction focuses on a secure fit and breathability that promotes long-lasting comfort. A Fitsole sockliner conforms to the shape of the foot while the heel counter secures the rear foot throughout the stride. Engineered mesh provides ventilation and support at the same time a partial-mesh inner-sleeve facilitates lockdown. The shoe’s Flywire technology has been subtly updated for an even more adaptive fit through the midfoot and arch.

The new #nike #airzoom #pegasus33 is available on June 2 at #nike.com and select retailers.
