Ferrari, photogallery look book Spring – Summer 2016

METICULOUSLY DETAILED
A sporty S/S collection that references Ferrari tradition

The 2016 Ferrari Store Lifestyle Spring/Summer collection has been meticulously crafted around subtle
but clear references to the Ferrari Grand Tourers. In fact, all of the colours, materials and
manufacturing methods used for both the men’s and ladies’ ranges are inspired by Ferrari’s GT
interiors. Iconic design elements, such as the Italian flag and the racing livery that adorns many of our
sporty models, have been given a fun, playful treatment too. Engines – the very heart of all Ferraris –
also find their way into the collection both as print motifs and metallic detailing.

Key themes

GT interiors

Interiors continue to be a rich source of inspiration this season. The Ferrari Store collection presents
both men’s and women’s leather jackets in sublime cognac, one of the classic car interior colours.
Signature stitching and print techniques, such as embossing (as typically used for seats), also feature.
Even the highly distinctive grosgrain details in the ladies’ collection are a nod to our seatbelts.

The Tricolour

A classic expression of pride in and belonging to Ferrari’s native land, the Italian flag is one of the
elements in the Prancing Horse’s official logo and has been used extensively in detailing across the
entire collection. It features, for instance, on a band on the collar of one of our jackets and as a side
stripe on our men’s swimming trunks.

The racing livery

Nothing sparks passion, sporty or otherwise, like the racing livery on a Ferrari. In this year’s S/S
collection, scarlet red stripes add a touch of flair and style to collars, hoods, sleeves and zippers on
jackets, t-shirts and polo shirts alike. The new leather and canvas “Ferrari Touring” men’s accessories
range centres around a white, red and blue palette too.

Engines and carbon-fibre

It’s impossible to even mention Ferrari without thinking about engines. It’s no surprise therefore that
engine motifs feature heavily in this S/S collection while metallic details lend an edgy touch to the
womenswear. The high-tech look of carbon-fibre also adds a flourish to some of the t-shirt designs.

The collections

Uomo (Menswear)

Our classic blue and neutrals colour palette has been given a lift with the addition of lemon yellow and
sea blue (“Avus Blue”). Outerwear is the star of the collection. Highlights include a barracuda jacket in
a denim-look linen mix and bombers in sea blue suede and cognac sheepskin. Our navy cashmere and
silk cardigan also sports a red stripe on its sleeve.

Donna (Womenswear)

This collection spans a range of cool new colours: neutrals, pinks, sea and sky blue, and cognac. Our
white tight-waist field jacket with metallic grosgrain accents is perfect for spring. New sweaters with
Lurex detailing on their backs and a touch of grosgrain brighten up a classic choice. Our leather jackets,
however, are still the real stalwarts of the collection, not least our bomber jackets in pink and blue
suede or soft cognac lambskin.
