Inspiring and incredibly revealing, the exhibition highlights the diverse heritage and present-day activities of OMEGA, all displayed through the brand’s most enduring stories and iconic timepieces.
Within a large 150 square metre space, visitors of the “Planet OMEGA” exhibition at the impressive Beijing Oriental Plaza can now discover the many facets that make up the OMEGA brand.
Projected onto large installations, the themes of the exhibition cover OMEGA’s Watchmaking, Sporting Spirit, Sea Exploration, Ladies’ Watches, Going to Space, James Bond, and Social Engagement. Each section contains a collection of OMEGA’s most notable timepieces, while also detailing the stories behind them. From the famous Speedmaster chronograph that went to the moon to the watches that celebrate OMEGA’s Olympic Timekeeping tradition, every part of the brand can be explored.
Mr Stephen Urquhart, President of OMEGA, spoke about his enthusiasm for the exhibition by saying, “This is a particularly special exhibition for OMEGA because it brings so much of our brand together and proves how eclectic and far-reaching we are. It’s a very proud moment to see all of OMEGA’s passions represented in one space.”
The “Planet OMEGA” exhibition will remain open to the public between 18th December and 3rd January 2016 in the Beijing Oriental Plaza, where the world’s largest OMEGA boutique is located. This 1000 square metre boutique is spaced out over two floors, providing customers with extraordinary timepieces and professional service.
