OMEGA and Naomie Harris celebrate the release of SPECTRE in Japan

The long-awaited 24th 007 film SPECTRE has already become a record-breaking movie all over the world, since first being shown in London last month. The movie is premiering in Japan on December 4th, and earlier in the week, British actress Naomie Harris, who plays Moneypenny in SPECTRE, was invited by OMEGA to appear in Yurakucho, Tokyo.
Naomie was escorted on the red carpet by Raynald Aeschlimann, OMEGA Vice President & International Sales Director, Member of Swatch Group's Extended Group Management Board, while the new film's theme song, sung by Sam Smith, played over the loud speakers. More than 500 people gathered for the event and were very excited to see Naomie up close and personal in Tokyo. She happily accepted the fans’ requests for autographs and photographs as she walked down the red carpet.
Japanese actor, Tetsuya Bessho, led the talk session on stage and took the opportunity to ask Raynald Aeschlimann his views on the relationship between OMEGA and Bond. After welcoming the crowd to the wonderful celebration, Aeschlimann went on to say that ''OMEGA has been James Bond's watch of choice for 20 years. We have shared a lot of emotions together. I feel very happy to be with this great actress, Naomie Harris”.
When asked about her impression of Tokyo, Naomie Harris said, ''This is my very first time in Japan and I am overwhelmed by the welcome that I’ve received. I want to thank everybody individually who turned out to say hello”.
She told the crowd about the movie. “You are really going to love SPECTRE. I think SPECTRE is a movie for a traditional Bond fan because there are so many classic elements in it that you’re really going to love. As well as of course the modern elements that we all love. My advice to you is to turn up on time to see the movie because one of the greatest scenes is the opening sequence”
She shared her feelings about what it's like to be part of the 007 family. “I’ve been a huge fan of James bond since I was a child. I never imagined in a million years that I’d be part of this franchise. I’m very privileged to have been part of not just Skyfall, but SPECTRE as well. “
After the host explained to guests that Naomie’s visit to Tokyo is part of the celebration of OMEGA's 20 year relationship with 007, the star mentioned her watch. ”This watch that I’m wearing now is a Constellation. It’s absolutely beautiful, elegant timeless and classic. It has the same qualities we see in Bond. I think that’s the reason why Bond and OMEGA are such an incredible team together and they work so well. You can’t really have Bond without OMEGA now“.
After the discussion, Naomie visited Hankyu Men’s Tokyo, known as the most fashion-oriented and influential department store in the city, where she took some pictures with the OMEGA Bond Watch display.
To end the evening, Naomie visited the OMEGA boutique in Ginza and attended OMEGA’s Advanced Movie Screening after-party which was held in Roppongi.
Greeting approximately 300 guests, included OMEGA’s VIP customers, business partners, Swiss and British officials based in Japan and numerous local celebrities, Christophe Savioz, President and Representative Director of Swatch Group Japan K.K./OMEGA Brand Manager remarked, ''Dear friends of OMEGA. For OMEGA it’s a really important moment full of emotions. In fact, we share quite a lot of same values. I’m very happy to share this special moment with you all.”
Naomie Harris told the 007 movie lovers about SPECTRE “At the helm of this movie are our brothers and sisters. They have put in so much love and care, not just into the movie but all the people behind the scenes and in front of the camera that work on this movie so there’s real love and passion unlike any other movies that I’ve been part of. I think you can really feel that".

The appearance of 007 actress Naomie Harris made OMEGA’s special screening even more special for those who waited in anticipation for the movie.
At the after-party, famous musicians played classic 007 theme songs and singer Takao Tajima (from Original Love) entertained the guests with his music. All guests thoroughly enjoyed the special 007 night hosted by OMEGA.
