Omega and Daniel Craig celebrate the release of Spectre in China

The world-renowned Swiss watch brand OMEGA has held an exciting SPECTRE movie screening and party to celebrate the film’s release in China. President of OMEGA, Mr. Stephen Urquhart, attended the event in Beijing along with hundreds of distinguished guests from all over the world. After watching the film, 007 actor, OMEGA brand ambassador Daniel Craig, made a surprise visit, together with famous Chinese celebrities Liao Fan, Zhu Yawen and Dilraba. Representing his naval history and distinguished character, the OMEGA Seamaster has been James Bond's watch of choice since GoldenEye hit screens in 1995. Now seen as an essential piece of Bond’s iconic attire, it has reliably served him on every dangerous mission since then. The OMEGA 007 collections are represented by enduring design. With the latest release of the Seamaster 300 "SPECTRE" Limited Edition, viewers can now dress their wrist with the exact same watch from the film. As the 24th 007 film, SPECTRE has finally arrived in China. This momentous OMEGA screening took place at the Beijing Palace Cinema, where hundreds of guests experienced the thrilling adventure before its official release. From there, everyone was treated to a British themed after- party at The Workshop – 751 D Park. Transformed from a factory storeroom, the unique setting retained the old-fashioned metal bunkers, red-brick walls and dominant black and golden hues, all helping to create a rugged 007 atmosphere. At the entrance of the party, there was a distinctive display area inspired by the classic gun barrel sequence of the 007 films. The ingenious feature included classic 007 film posters, as well as many of the OMEGA Seamaster models that have accompanied James Bond over the past 20 years. OMEGA President Mr. Stephen Urquhart delivered a speech at the party on the partnership between the brand and Bond: “James Bond has been wearing an OMEGA Seamaster for 20 years now. It is a very special relationship for OMEGA and we are always very proud and honoured to be a part of these action- packed films. I can tell you now that this latest film, SPECTRE, is one of the best so far.” Meanwhile, Daniel Craig also shared his own thoughts on stage: "Thank you to Mr. Urquhart and entire team. I have to say, OMEGA did an extraordinary job for us on this movie. We wanted something specific to fit within our story and they gave us the incredible OMEGA Seamaster 300 which worked perfectly for what we were trying to do." As this glamorous OMEGA evening came to a close, guests were left in no doubt as to the incredible spirit that OMEGA and James Bond share. It is certain that this mutually-beneficial relationship will continue long into the future.
