Tomorrow, British distance runner #mofarah begins a final campaign for double gold. He’ll be racing the 10,000-meter and 5,000-meter events in front of thousands of fans on his home track one last time.
There is perhaps no better #running inspiration than Farah, who galvanized a whole new generation of runners since he earned two gold medals in this same stadium in 2012. He’s won multiple Olympic, World and European Championships and he recently became the first athlete to win three long-distance doubles at successive World Championships and Olympic Games, securing his place in the history books by winning yet another double gold in Rio.
To celebrate Farah’s achievements and commemorate his homecoming, #nike customized the latest model of his favorite training shoe, the #nike Air Zoom Pegasus. “I have been #running in the Pegasus for years, and it’s a shoe I can always rely on,” says Farah, who’s been known to log an average of 125 training miles a week. “The mixture of cushioning and responsiveness gives me a versatile option to run fast some days and far others.”
