On April 14, #jordanbrand held the 16th annual #jordanbrand Classic at Barclays Center, which featured top high school basketball players representing the All-American Boys and Girls, Global and Regional teams.
The National Boys Game included several of the nation’s top prospects, with the West defeating the East, 124-116. Co-MVP honors went to Brian Bowen (undecided) and Lonnie Walker Jr. (Miami), who scored 26 and 19 points, respectively.
Now in its third year, the National Girls Game resulted in a 122-82 victory for the West. Kiana Williams (Stanford) led that effort with 20 points, while Chasity Patterson (Texas) had 17 points for the East. Both players were named Co-MVP.
In the regional contest, Brandon Randolph (Arizona) and Kimani Lawrence (Arizona State) were named Co-MVPs, while Addison Patterson (Canada) and Killian Hayes (France) took home those honors in the Global Showcase.
Throughout the week, #jordanbrand provided a premium experience for high school standouts. An opening ceremony featured surprise visits from #jordanbrand family members Ray Allen and Maya Moore. These two legends also answered questions from players in the first-ever JBC Media Etiquette 101. Participants were outfitted in the latest #jordanbrand footwear and apparel at each event.
The National Girls team was treated to a VIP experience at the WNBA Draft and supported a WINGS community initiative in Queens. All players also took a boat tour that offered views of several historic New York City spots.
On game day, #jordanbrand honored four community leaders with Wings awards in the spirit of Greatness, Determination, Authenticity and Freedom. Players and fans enjoyed musical performances by A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and Rick Ross to cap off the full day of games.
