The latest collaboration between #converse and #stussy takes the classic One Star ’74 silhouette – one highly rooted in both street and skate culture – and elevates it with three iconic #stussy graphics.
Since inception in 1980, #stussy has taken its California-inspired surf and skate culture roots worldwide. The brand is defined by unique graphic designs, and on the #converse #onestar74xstussy collection, three of the most familiar graphics — the crown emblem, the dice, and the 8 ball — adorn the tongue of one of each of the colorways (Mauve Mist, Black, and Hunter Green). All authentic details from the original #converse One Star ’74 model are also preserved, from the Star Chevron logo and high foxing tape to the vintage license plate, resulting in a collection that is a true representation of both brands’ heritage.
"Coming together with #stussy on the One Star collection was a very natural thing, as #stussy embodies the relaxed California vibe so well," says Ian Ginoza, Director of Brand and Product Marketing Energy. "They have a very real connection to the communities and cultures that embrace One Star, making it a perfect fit."
Executed in bold colored hairy suede, the three sneakers are further enhanced with the addition of a black midsole. Additional features include a #stussy linked logo outsole and graphic-printed insole.
The new Converse One Star ’74 x Stussy collection will launch on December 2 at #converse retail stores, on #converse.com and select global accounts.
