CHAPAL is one of the few brands to be able to provide ongoing monitoring of its jackets to meet the ever-increasing demands of its customers.
Jackets that have suffered the weathering of time, damaged by one or two of the previous owners return to the Manufacture's workshops.
The craftsmen change the ribbing, the lining or another part; the leather is nourished and renovated by expert hands: the jacket is refurbished, reconditioned in the pure tradition of today's upcycling expectations. The grandson of the first owner is once again wearing this essential family item.
Indestructible and respected, these jackets are timeless collectors' garments.
CHAPAL has not waited for this increasing demand for transparency from brands to respect this ethic. In its French manufacture in La Creuse, the constant search for beauty and demanding craftsmanship are fundamental values.
The French hides are tanned on site and all products are made and finished at the same place. It's an ultra-short circuit that has less impact on the environment and also ensuring quality and authenticity. This hand-crafted creation allows for intelligent production: pieces are made-to-order only and leather scraps are reused for repairs or small leather goods.
CHAPAL contributes to supporting artistic skills and training craftsmen in luxury work. This luxury is neither showy nor ostentatious. It capitalises on a historic #heritage and French know-how.
