New Fall colorways for the Air Max 97
20 years after its debut, the #nike #airmax97 continues to inspire awe with its ostentatious shine, sleek lines, gleaming vehicular-style ventilation and full-window cushioning. Its unique, futuristic design has regularly been attributed to the look of Japanese bullet trains and subtle waves of water. However, the true inspiration for the shoe’s iconic look is the clean industrial complexion of the original designer’s favorite mountain bike.
Complementing the return of the OG is the all-new #nike #airmax97 Ultra, which reduces the silhouette's weight, highlights its signature lines in a single-layer upper and introduces new Air-Sole PSI levels to provide a more comfortable ride for daily wear.
“The innovation in the #airmax97 Ultra comes from the point of view of refined comfort," says Dylan Raasch, #nike Senior Sportswear Design Director. "We updated the airbag, which is tuned softer, and the foam around it is streamlined to be closer to the ground. The lining is totally seamless with a single shell for the upper construction. The #airmax97 Ultra retains the spirit of the OG through details you can really feel.”
