Converse launches the pro leather ‘76 in “vintage suede”
Celebrating 40 years since the Pro Leather’s initial introduction, when it was worn by some of the most revolutionary basketball players of their time, Converse’s Pro Leather ’76 #vintagesuede upgrades the court classic with a #nike Lunarlon sockliner, contemporary shape and “sport classic” colors. These elements give the timeless silhouette a fresh outlook, while maintaining the purity of stance that has made it a street style classic.
“The updated Pro Leather ’76 honors the DNA of the original icon while also delivering more comfort and a contemporary style,” says Bryan Cioffi, Vice President/Creative Director of #converse Global Footwear. “By introducing innovative #nike technology to a timeless classic, we’ve breathed new life into the iconic court silhouette and made it available for a new generation of young consumers to fall in love with.”
For the shoe’s second drop, the “Vintage Suede” collection, the Pro Leather ’76 comes cleanly appointed in four “sport classic” colors to match the consumer’s own individual style. Grape, Yellow, Grey, and Fire. A white Chevron, outsole and laces gives vintage accents to each colorway.
The limited #converse Pro Leather ’76 “Vintage Suede” collection will be available on Monday, November 21st for a SRP of $80 USD at #converse retail stores, #converse.com, select Foot Locker stores and Footlocker.com as part of Foot Locker’s Week of Greatness.
