Press release available only in original language.

Converse’s partnership with designer Nigel Cabourn continues with a new interpretation of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 silhouette. This fresh take on the iconic sneaker will be released in two new bold expressions, created to keep the wearer dry and warm.

The new release features a Ventile ® and Harris Tweed fabric upper and bright orange lining, as well as “fireman” buckle closure, nodding to Cabourn’s iconic “cameraman jacket."

“Converse is a great US heritage brand that really appeals to me,” says Cabourn. “I am excited to collaborate with #converse and re-work the Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70 using my favorite British fabric, Ventile, which ties up the British and US connection.”

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 x Nigel Cabourn collection will launch on October 28 at #converse retail stores, on #converse.com, Nigel Cabourn “Army Gym” and other globally selected first string accounts. The collection will be available in navy and army green in sizes 6 through 13.Converse First String is a limited-edition collection that celebrates craftsmanship, authenticity and collaboration at the highest level.
